Despite the fact I support efforts in Congress requiring Chinese-owned ByteDance to sell TikTok, I have to say that the social media giant created one of the best pieces of advocacy content I’ve seen in a long time.
Released by TikTok’s government relations and media team, its 2024 “Economic Impact Report” detailing that TikTok “drove $15B in revenue for U.S. small businesses in 2023” is a visually elegant, well organized document that makes its case effectively.
Moreover, the state by state data helps make TikTok’s case for congressional supporters and others at the local level.
Advocacy pieces of this nature are floated around Washington and Capitol Hill on practically a daily basis.
And it’s simply worth pointing out this piece is superior on every level.
